howdy guys and galls
looking at getting one of there got um to £7000 for one just wondering if the turbos are any good i.e relibility,boost. im really interested in one guna get rid of the gsi and get one.does the audi brake much if so wot should i look out for? seen one for 6500 75,000 miles blue grey leather relly smart just got a green cotton air filter does this price seem ok
any feed back would be helpful

very good cars. easy to tune aswell. keep an extra coil pack in the car tho ,as they seem to go quite often on the older models

Reliable if looked after, expensive to fix if bits go wrong. MAF sensors are a common fault but can be purchased on an exchange basis from dealers at about 90 odd quid. Other common failures are the recirc valve, heard a few horror stories with the throttle body too, mine being one of them. Also ive just had my ECU replaced, nice bill of 700 quid. Cambelts every 60k, heard some dealers say 60, some say 80, some have said 120 but be on the safe side, 60k and do the waterpump at the same time.
Turbos are very reliable, providing you dont start cranking the boost up to stupid levels. Dont be suprised when you drive it and realise it isnt as quick as you would think, they are heavy and average until chipped.
