easy way is to use a big hammer and a chisel....
seriously though i'd only use a "chip" to complement other mods like cams, induction kits, exhausts etc

No point just "chipping" it. Has no benifit.
Like the above cams, etc... then have a specific "chip" to make it all work in harmony because otherwise it will need "rechipping" everytime you add something to make the most of it.
Thats a very brief overview anyhow.

Is there really any benifit to it? Im sure you've had healings with 1.2 sxi's and the like, and to say theres 15bhp difference between the two engine, there really isnt that much difference in it in terms of how you pull away from them IMO. I know i'd be gutted after spending circa £600 for a set of cams and ECU remap, only to get 15 brake at that be the outcome of how much faster it was .
By looking at your avatar, your car inst extensively modified anyway, so would it not be better to save say £1k, and get a newer, lower milage, 1.8 version of your own car? At least then you also get the added benifits of Traction Control, ABS (if yours didnt have it specified as an option) and Cruise control  .
This is the most likely route i'd take anyway, but I dont think i'd be arsed with getting another corsa and swapping everything over. That said ive never driven/played with a 1.8 corsa to judge how much faster they are. Ive toyed with a 1.8 Astra before and was sitting pissig myself laughing upto 60 cause he couldnt make any ground on me .
