Fully comp is a different league and to me losing my ncb would be worth more than repairing car
Also i know about running cost on these i would have my 106 gti for work and the scooby for weekend driving
Does people think thats to much for ££ i think its ok considering im only 21
cheers guys

Some guys on here get insurance quotes for better cars, yet they are cheaper and younger.
Its strange.

Hold out for a bit longer and get a better Scooby with cheaper insurance. Your only 21 and a 106GTi is more than adequate for a 21 year old IMO. No point bending yourself over backwards to own a car.

It's still a silly idea if you can only afford tpft.

How much more was it for fully comp?
when I bought my P1, I was paying about £1500, 2 years later, over the 25 mark and full NCB its less than a grand with my Escort as well.
The only problem is the servicing costs, as people have said you cant skimp. I only use mine at weekends like you will be doing. It went in for a service today (6 months or 7.5k miles) even tho it had only done 900 miles since its last service 6 months ago! Inbetween services last time it had done 250!!!!!! (cos I was busy every weekend doing my new house up)
I would say go for it, why not???!!!! The only worry is the 3rd party insurance!
Have you tried Tesco?

i priced one up for me was about £2300 at 20 tpft, then priced up an rx7 and was cheaper so thats going to be the best option imo
If i was you i would go for it

Yeah, it is strange that. Subarus and Evos are trouble in the eyes of insurance companies I think?

Strange that innit?
I dont think this grouping thing means FA myself. Mine is a group 20, the same as all the Ferraris/Lambos/Zondas etc etc It all goes on stats and value I reckon!

well the way I see
The Type R is affordable brand new for young people were as the TT isn't thus they are cheaper to insure

Thats it. The people who drive certain cars are stereotyped as being a certain type.

Doesnt help that certain companies have had claims of over half a million each involving scoobies.
