whats the best paint to use for spraying the plastic cover over the rocker covers on a 1.4 16v dohc engine ?? hammerite maybe ? i knw brake caliper paint would do it, but i want a spray.... also, id like the vauxhall logo and ecotec logo put on afterwards... would i have to buy a sticker ??

i have seen countless rocker covers sprayed and lacquered with normal car paint and it hasnt gone funny, think its coz its plastic it doesnt get hot enough to screw it up. Make sure you prep it well though

You can just use normal car paint mate, then go down to miry lane industrial estate to the graphic shop and get him to do you an ecotec sticker

my engine cover that i sprayed and stickered 2 years ago and not one bubble.
i used vaux paint.

i sprayed mine with HALFORDS 1)plastic primer 2)caribic blue colour paint 3)lacquer
AND i did not even sand it down the plastic or primer properly!!! and its still looks wicked 2 years later!!

IMHO Looks better if you leave the left part black and spray the rest like you have done...
