Well the "panic" buying seems to have started already. Petrol stations round here were lining up round the corner to fill up.
I stuck to my routine and fill up at the weekend so it didnt bother me.
But the interesting thing is going down the motorway between Northampton to Milton Keynes (the longest on the M1 -16 miles) i sat at 75mph the whole way - plenty of traffic about and i did not get overtaken once.
I think people are trying to really take care with speed as well. All the usual suspects the BM's Merc's Audi's etc.... all crawling on the inside lane.

it kind of defies the point of blockading it... the petrol company will lose out after the blockade agreed but this spike before will compensate for that so it makes sod all difference to them just a lot of stress for people.

Yeah, I had this going down to Devon on Sunday, drove there and back at between 60 and 70, took probably one tank of fuel for 350 miles instead of two... Was a much more comfortable and relaxed journey.
Gonna drive up north later and see how little fuel I can use...
