Hey!! am thinking about putting a 2.0 16v or 2.0 turbo into my corsa, but just curious which vauxhalls had these engines in as standard

or what model cars had 2.0 16v and 2.0 turbo, also which had 2.0 8v engines, just for info purposes, thanks guys

XE's engines

E plate onwards astra GTE 16v
First ones had coscast heads

Then Cav GSI 2000 and 2000 4wd, up to J plate,
then cav sri from J plate to L plate had 2.0 EX (red top)

From H to M the calibra 16v had a red top,
the later ones, (L onward) have distributorless ingnition packs ( featured on very last cav GSi's as well)

ALL turbo engines up to R reg (calibra) and M reg (Cav turbo's) were NON ECOTEC even if they say they are.

And it was the later heads that were cosscast, as Vauxhall addressed the porus problem by making a better head. Don't panic about a porus head though, its easy to fix.

no it was the earlier ones.
they created the problem by using a cheaper casting trying to cut costs
