Someone on the MR2 club recomened i get one for my mk1, but they only do them for the later cars 86 onwards (mines an 85.) I remember Adi of here got one and thought it was ace so i ordered one for my corsa. It came a few days ago and i just got round to fitting it today, piss easy to do, 10 min job.
Now i was really sceptical (sp) about these, i mean how much difference can a steel bar really make on the back of a FWD car?
Took the car out, little roundabout 30 sec from my front door chucked it round and it didnt understeer like it normally does, hmm still not sure, takes more that 1 roundabout to convince me So i go for my local test track/quiet country lane, the one where i did the vid of me chasing the clio 182.
I was like Fuck me what a difference, body roll has reduced a fair bit (coilovers, front + rear strut braces already) and its so much more crisp turning in, car feels alot flatter through the fast corners so i can get on the power earlier coming out. But i can still stab the brakes going in to get the front tucked in and the tail wagging.
Im well impressed with my steel bar if your thinking about getting one of these, do it
