I was over by a bit with them and they were OK. It really depends on who is on the desk when you check-in, as some will be really arsey and others just let it on!

they will follow company policy to a certain degree, but its down to them in the end if they let it on for being a little over or make you pay!

I've only ever flown BMI from LHR > GLA and vice versa. I don't think they are strict on baggage, but as someone's said, depends on the muppet at the check in desk etc.

I was nearly double the allowance with Thomas Cook and didnt get charged anything, just smiled nicely and chatted up the woman checking me in!

It depends how many passengers are on the flight and how many KG of baggage has been booked on.
You'd probably get away with it if you were one of the first people to check in?

it really is difficult to say whether you will be charged for excess, but on domestic flights being over by a few kilos should be fine. have travelled to auz with a 40kg suitcase and didnt have to pay excess. limit was meant to be 25kg, so it really depends on the situation ie aircraft tpye, how busy the flight is etc
