Customising your car has been rated as the "biggest passion killer" for men and women in Buckinghamshire according to a survey.
In a survey of 1500 car owners in June Dixon Motors revealed that modifications such as underfloor lighing, spoilers and bodykits, were the biggest turn off fo men and women accross the county and ranked as number one in the "car passion crime stakes" committed in the early stages of a relationship.
Top turn offs for women include car modifications (34%), followed by speeding (21%), 'driving a banger' (19%), having a dirty car (17%) andcar decorations such as furry dice or window stickers (7%).
For men modifications were also the biggest turn off (29%), with hesitant driving as a close runner up (21%) followed b cuddly toys (20%).
Heavily-scented air-freshners (14%) and poor choice of driving music (10%) were also rated as passion killers.

Have to say Ed that does ring true. My other half has gone completely off modding the Corsa C i got her. Its had a piper twin back box on it, debadged and a few stickers put on the windows (Corsa-C.co.uk and purecarsound ones!) she's now decided that thats enough. Might get alloys but nothing else is getting done. She is also not interested in going to meets or the local cruise anymore!

its politics though aint it?
If you ask the correct questions and give multiple choice answers, you can make statistics to look however you want them

For example if I was to do a survey on the government I would word the questions and give choices to make the results look how I wanted to.

In case of the example above, there was probably the following question, which of the following would you rate as the biggest turn off,
A car mods
B Speeding,

it also depends on who they ask. they say its random but if you wanted results to go in favour of modded cars you would do the survey around a meet, if not you would do it @ a supermarket during the day
