  today has been a bad day for my PC, 1 dodgy RAM module down the pan, now only running 256mb.
then im re-installing HL2 and my CDRW drive decides to give up too

sometrhing is drastically wrong with my PC. keeps locking up, so i changed my clock frequency back to normal, has been running at 1900mhz for months now, rather than 1798.

oh yeah, that didnt solve the problem, i think my motherboard has a fault, components are failing

nah, internal temps are between 30 and 35, CPU temps around 40-45.

lol my PC wont look forward to the summer, i couldnt use it last year because it would reach 75 on dye and shut down. will be the same this year. becomes a problem when ambient outside temps reach 40+

my 1.4 runs at 2.3 and is usualy about 60-70 degrees, mine has never had a prob :x

Just leave the case open and have a fan constantly blowing air on to the board?

yes we have aircon, but its so bloody expensive to keep running so we dont use it much unless it reaches 45

its not overheating, its quite cool in there. and leaving the case open will create heat spots
