Just wondering if anyone on here can help
My PC has suddenly become really slow like it takes ages to open all of the programs and if you watch any video clips they are all jerky and that. Ive defragemnted the HD and removed all uneccercery stuff so that HD isnt even half full and it is still well slow. Checked for spyware and viruses too but found none
So erm help please

not enough disk swap space on your hard drive? Consider deleting unnecessary files and folders to make more space?
buy a new computer?

could be too much p0rn as well. The internet police are monitoring your computer hence the slowdown.

yer ive got lots of WMV video files and mp3 from my camcorda/CD's on pc as im in the process of putting together a little film they dont take up too much space though. as my HD is 47gig full and its a 80gig HD.
Dont think its p0rn either dave as my PC was slow before i got internet connected

After the defrag have you also ran scan disk?. See if there are any bad sectors etc...

it could be spyware, run spyware doctor u can get it free frm
www.download.com, or u need more memory buy a 256mb or 512mb of RAM an it should b fine

most probably too many services running in the background. hit ctrl-alt-delete and tell us how many services are running, should say in the corner

chances are if your using win xp, explorer.exe is running at 100% try this link it should help

only affects SP1. SP2 corrected the registry issue

Is this the same as processes. because if i press ctrl + alt + delete and click on the processes tab there is a whole massive list
But in the bottom corner it only says processes 43
