my 1.6 went pop few week ago...

can get hold of 1.4 16v very cheap....

basically i wana sell up....im thinkin put the 1.4 engine in...then get engine changed on log book,then it opens my sellin market dont it as lower insurance group

GSi should have 1.6, anything else won't sell.

i just wont advertise it as a gsi...as it aint standard ne ways....only want bout 1200-1300 with the 1.4 in.....what ya reckon?

do whatever you feel best mate, it ill make it more appealing to younger drivers as the 1.4 but as the gsi engine you will sell it easier i would think

got me thinkin though now...if i change log book to a 1.4,will it still be classed as a gsi coz of trim/interior etc?? therefore not actually bein cheaper insurance?

it'll still be a gsi on log book just the different engine size and engine number will be different

i doubt it because of the trim..

but SHOULD be a lower group than the GSI, prob about 7
