from engine number, just basics like Services, milage, year etc
is it possible to gather this info from anywhere? have tried vaux and the parts guy just looked at me dimly and said "not sure mate, try in the service department."
so i ventured to the service department and asked them, where the service receptionist looked at me dimly and said "have you tried parts?"
this i when walked out shaking my head.
useless coonts!

Nah, think they do it by registration of the car...so if you know what car it came from then i guess you could find out....

when i worked for MG i could tap in the engine number into a dealer stock system and it would give me complete details for the car it was in. but then i knew how to do my job properly.
