wanting a new TV for my room, want around a 28" or 30" really. I dont have a problem with it being a regular tv, as their alot cheaper, but a flatscreen would be nice. ive had my eye on these 2 for a while, whic is better? any good?
Video Seven - Amazon
Toshiba - Pixmania
i know the Video Seven one is bigger, which is nice, but i dont want a really crap quality picture.
Anyone reccomend any other Tvs at all?

the Toshiba is the european version of the 27WL46 (i believe) and from what i gather, the picture is alright but nothing to write home about. Although it does offer a DVI input unlike the Video Seven (never seen/used a single item of the Video Seven gear, so cant comment) - although not sure if its Hi-Def compatiable, which could be a problem if youre planning to use it with sky or Hi-Def dvds etc.
But tbh, for the under 1K mark, youre not going to get anything special - you need to be spending 1500 or so on a 30" to warrant any decent picture and connections.
Although if you were spending that on a Tube, then opt for a sony - its the only thing they can produce and 4-500 quid gets you a brilliant picture and tv

if i was you wait a year or 2. Prices will tumble.
Im hanging on to my 14" TV-VCR (nothing wrong with it) untill i can get a good quality 24-26" flatscreen for under £400

looking to get one within the next week, not 2 years
Dom - i know its not going to be amazing quality, but anything is better than my 14" Aiwa thing i have in my room. Jus want something largeish for around £600.
i have been lookin at the standard tv's (they called tubes?) but havent really found one i like so far, most websites seem to be flatcreen now
Ive used pixmania, its correct they are based in France, but i didnt have a problem when i ordered my digi cam from them. Unsure about the warranty thing tho
