hey guys, ages ago someone posted up a link that when you went on it, it tested to see how fast your broadband connection is. Does anyone remember what it was?

cheers

From that result, I'd say you're on 2Mbps ADSL......if so, that's not a bad speed, you'd normally expect anything between 1680-1920 Kbps to be "within normal range" on the downstream, and anything between 220-260 Kbps to be normal on the upstream.

If that's ADSL, that already is a 2Mbps connection, as 1180 Kbps is above the speed you could get on a 1Mbps connection (1024 Kbps would be the theoretical maximum on a 1 Mbps, with practical results being more likely to be between 840-960 Kbps).

I'd contact BT Yahoo, and get them to investigate, because those speeds (up & down) are pretty awful......see a previous post of mine, for the expected speeds for a normal-working 2Mbps line...
