depends on the mods you have got/ planning to do. pointless on a standard engine.

i put a piper decat on my 1.4 sport... gave it a bit more poke but made a nasty raping sound at 4000rpm and made it sound like a nova... personally i wouldnt bother mate

Ive got a magnex de-cat because it was cheaper than a replacement cat.. Made it noticeably better and as for mot's just bribr the tester! lol

i had a piper decat on my 1.4 sport...
made a fair bit of difference when combine with induction kit i reckon, gave it a lot more pull top end.
sold it cos i can't be arsed with switching etc for MOT cos i start uni soon and might not have time.
i think a sports cat may be best if you can afford

i had a de-cat but removed it soon after,
de-cat's burn valves which means lots of money in the long run
