All our phones just went dead at home, rang up BT ranting and raving... They said let me stop you there, your not with us anymore you cancelled your account ages ago (no we didnt)
Anyway to cut a longstory short some girl called "Sam" has cancelled our BT account for us, switched us onto her scam line charging and taking loads of our money without us knowing and we are totally stuffed !!
Can't use net at home now, cant call out at home and all incoming calls are monitored by the police !!
This could have been going on for years 
Such a messed up country really !!

how can a third party member cancel your BT account?! 
sounds like BT lack some sort of security - if we have a problem with NTL, or want to cancel etc you have to supply a password, so i would be ranting like a raging bull to BT about how shite there security is and get them to sort it out as there at fault for cancelling your account without you knowing

im still confused how she moved you and surely you are still get bills/direct debits from BT if not, bank statements etc would show transactions to this orb company? its sort of common sense to check statements when you get them for anything unusual 
although sounds like she managed to get hold of your folks card details from bt to bill you - in which case BT has preached so many security pretection laws, you could sue them for shit loads

I don't know the whole ins and outs as its my dad dealing with it..
Pretty bad though to be honest and also scary, on the statements it just says the amounts (all the time) and her name thats it, nothing else !!!
Our internet it with Tiscali, will this still work or not as the phones are down ?

doubt it mate, if you havent got a dialing tone then no
well it sounds like your folks need to check their statements more and to an extent are to blame for this, because something like that would stand out like a sore thumb, and im sure a lot of people would have noticed that on there statements - plus you have seen that you havent been billed by BT for ages etc
although i cant see BT being so relaxed on security issues, so it sounds a bit like an inside job feeding the info to this women
