I've just ordered this:

But can anyone tell me what the mount on the middle is for?

Also, what difference does it make, that it is adjustable?

is ur car a x14xe or x16xe? if so might be to put hte map sensor on it

The MAP sensor sits on the firewall. I guess if it is sitting on the firewall then the strut brace would foul it. So you screw it to the strut brace. Simple
