Found a good forum....some fooking amazing minis on there, V6, R1 engined, plently of XE's on TBs and carbs and a few Teg R engines

if its about conversions theres a few options from memory

2 main companys make a kit

allspeed & AMT make vaux frames

both are custom made and not metro modded items thats been done before

you get alot of why dont you put a vtec in etc

the advantage with putting the XE in, is that with the F16 gearbox on 13's the gearing is spot on

to get the gearing spot on with the VTEC is much more difficult

also allspeed have bought out a c16se kit, but looking at it it wouldnt be that diffuclt to put the x16/c16 which we all know is better

mmm xe'd mini mine will be getting done soon.waiting list for a frame is about 6 months + at the mo so would look for a second hand one.
