Yeh it's an old habbit of keeping it in the power incase I needed to suddenly accelerate in the 1.2 16v Corsa. However now I could probably just plod in 4th and accelerate if needed

I think it's secretly because I like the noise.

what capacity tank is it pablo? If i thrased the arse of my STi impreza id still get at least 200 miles.

This is why I love my diesel. it's faster than a 1.2 and still on occasions returns 58mpg
