My dad gets these on Vodafone too. Its probbaly trying to get you to call them back so they make more money from the call back.

James it's O2's call alert. You can either have that setup or voice mail.

Maybe its the same as on the orange network.

If my fone has no signal or off and someone tries to contact me, when i switch on my fone, orange will send me a message showing who tried to ring me. Cool indeed!

That way you'll always know whos trying to call.
