Me and my mate are coming up next weekend, we'll come up on saturday morning, stay over saturday night and come home on sunday.
Wheres cheap to stay thats near all the action? Also where are the best pubs/clubs?
Any northen monkeys fancy a beer?

stay in the travelodge on the quayside matey, right in the middle of everything.
saturday night is busy, if I were you i'd start off up at central station (Next to the train station) - theres loads of bars down the road on the same side which are charv free and are generally trendy trouble free bars.
I'd then go over the road to revolution then down the bank onto the quayside, into chase, quilted camel, then into one of the clubs, either Sea or Baja. I generally think Sea is shite, but don't mind Baja like, plenty skirt in and some canny tunes...cheesy ones as well, like ...
Avoid the bigg market (Bars around there include... kiss/yell/cage) and the tuxedo (floating nightclub ship) like the plague.
A beer is out of the question for me which is a shame as I would of nee bother!

As corsa808 said, full of charvs, and guaranteed trouble every weekend.
The ship is charv heaven, stinks, and is shit.
You could try a few bars up next to The Gate mate, about a 10 minute walk from the quayside. Few good bars and clubs up there, Sam Jacks, Mood, Tiger Tiger ( www.thegatenewcastle.com )
