hey guys, working on a web page atm using some free space a m8 has lent me. just want to test my forum set up and if it works gonna set up my own page.
m8 only has space for 2 db's and he is using them so i am looking for a sites that allow free mysql databases and will let me link it with vbulletin.
i have tried one or 2 and they either dont work or wont allow vbulletin.
any suggestions, google does not seem to want to help me.

thats who i have tried already.
but reading info somewhere on the site it says they dont allow vbulletin...
i have set up the db, upload the forum folders and start configuration, get to step 3 and error 1044 access denied.
i dont know too much about all this, so i assumed the are stopping the vbulletin connecting.
i have tried changing access to the db but getting nowhere and trying to find a decent guide online is painful

If its just for testing, install IIS or Apache and MySQL yourself. Alternatively, use this - http://www.db4free.net/
If you're taking it seriously, spend some money.

ok, i finaly managed to set it up on my own pc.
i can connect to the db from my other pc using mysql-front.
i have opened the ports in my firewall and i can see the number of times i have tried to attach my forum to the db so its connecting (my web page that is). the user specified in the configuration has full access to the db from all hosts, but it still wont connect saying i dont have permission.
i am at a loss to why it wont work!
