hi, the piece of black tubing that comes off the airbox and connects to the throttle body, has a connector coming out of it , what is this connector for.

by the way this is a 1994 1.4 sri 8v, not sure if other models have it, when i got the car the wire on it was broke with yellow light on dash illuminated, car was running brilliant though even with it off, so what is it.

air mass meter.

when i unplugged mine it blew all the fibreglass stuff out of the silencer in exhuast
