I have a scrambler for the field and i need to change the engine casing. i have all the bits to do it.

how hard is it to remove/refit an engine on a 125 bike?

not hard - depends on the bike - but my trials biek is 250 and it only has two main mounting bolts holding the engine to the frame

infact my engiens off right now - just tidying it up inside and out ready for an even in a few weeks

got 2, both just toys for the field.

not the exact bike but same model, taken all mirrors, lights n shit off it though




and the 'new' one, not picked it up yet, got it v cheap off ebay

shouldnt be too hard to get the engine out - just whip all of the plastics, including seat etc off first - put them safe with all nuts and bolts

remove fuel tank

then go about the engine

my 2nd bike was a dtr125 with yz plastics on looked more like a yz was fairly nippy

engines on dt125`s are easy to replace!!
they are so light u can pick them out!!

yea it was no probs gettin it out.
just that got to open the casing up and transfer piston, gears etc into new case

thats pretty easy as they are very straight forward and simple but invest in a haynes manual if u havent already got 1 cos they arevery handy with small bolts u never seem to find!!
