Would you get out before they make people redundant or even fold?

Would start looking for alternative employment and planning a budget, but would wait to be made redundant.

Always best to jump before the ship sinks completly.

The worst thing is when others jump before you leaving you behind to take on more work!!

As in going bankrupt? or laying off?

I would start seeking another job, and going to interviews. I would also explain to the interviewer your situation, as it would make things alot easier.

Pay off assumes that they're in a position to pay off.

Exactly!

If they go under they wont be able to pay any one off!

Applied for a job this afternoon through a recruitment company. They phoned me after work. Sorted a few things out on my CV sent it to them. Put me forward for a job and the company want to interview me next week

To be honest.. i think i would stay until the firm officially goes under. Loyal workers always get a little head start when applying for a new job.

However, if i did not like the job I would look elsewhere and sod the loyalty.

but i dont really enjoy the job any more. Well i enjoy the job at times just not my boss.

And if you hang on in a company until it goes under you then have to find a job sharpish or you have no money and people knocking on your door asking for money.
