Currently insured through Adrian Flux on my Vectra.

I'm thinking that i want to buy and insure another car whilst retaining my Vectra insurance. My Vectra insurance does not cover me to drive other cars 3rd party due to my age (21). Is this the case with all companies or just Adrian Flux?

Adrian Flux can only give me cover on a 2nd car for 4 weeks maximum.

I've heard of traders policies which allow you to drive any car at any age and apparantly it's quite cheap to take out one of these policies, but i don't know much about this or companies who offer this..

What is likely to be my best opinion?

So if i bought a new car but registered it to my Mam's name and then got her to insure it as a second car with me as a named driver, would that get me covered fully comp or just 3rd party?

Depends on the policy you set up on the car

I have mine fully comp on my 1.2

But I could pay less & be insured 3rd party

Same as any normal policy really I suppose

Make you that your mum mentions that you have regular use of another car & it is insured in your own name. Lowered mine a bit

Im with Tesco on the 1.2

Can you have car insurance policy with 1 company, and have a second car insurance policy with a different company or do they both have to go through same company?

The company that my Mam is currently with don't insure modified cars i don't think and my new car will be modified..

Yes but you can only use your NCB with one of the companies

I think Flux can do 2 policies

Costs loads though

I probably think of a different plan rather than having 2 cars, was just an option i was considering.

Cheers anyway.

Yeah I already had one and started the other mid term, just asked if they could give me some NCB and they said they would match it.
