Shouldn't need a green card. Your drivers licence is sufficient as it's an EU one.

When i went to spain a month ago the only thing i had to show was my Passport and my Driver Licence card.

I was worried to that i need more and i couldn't find the paper part of my licence but i was ok.

You may need to have a credit card handy so that if there are any damages they will take it from that card.

Hope you have fun driving abroad like i did. I done 300 miles in one week down near Alicante. I had a 1.2 Micra but it went like stink. Especially when i redlined it all the time

Just read your post properly. Think when you go to France you are supposed to have everything if your going in your own car/bike.

You need the card and paper parts of your licence, some proof of insurance and passport obviously.

Yeah you would need to take everything just for piece of mind.
