when i play any sort of game, e.g. colin mcrae really 5, half life 2, fear anything like that my computer runs the game normal for about half a second then pause's (game still playing in the background) then about 5- 8 seconds later it plays again for about a second then freez's again....
i've updated the latest driver for my 3d card and the latest driver x windows thing. can anyone help? other than a complete reset of everything on my pc, i wanna avoid that.
specs are :
AMD Athlon 3500GHz 64Bit
1000Mb RAM
(unknown of make of ram and motheboard)
Nvidia Geforce 6800 GT with latest 77.71 driver
160gb Hard drive
6.1 creative surround sound
i'm baffaled and pissed off
