Sitting here enjoying a carton of Ribena i notice that the packet says

"in fact, 95% of all UK and IRISH blackcurrents grow up to become Ribena berries"

so i think to myself, hang on there, lots of stuff is blackcurrent flavour, and if 95% go to Ribena, then all the other people who produce blackcurrent flavour goods only have 5% of UK and IRISH blackcurrents to use between the lot of them

seems a bit suspect to me

id be more inclined to say the other stuff with blackcurrant flavour is a potent mix of cringe inducing acids and artificial colourings

OR

ribena berries is like the boy scouts of the fruit world and 95% of the berries join this club to train how to be a respectable and tasty berry before being dispatched to flavour various pies, juices and condoms.

upon further research there are only around 50 blackcurrant farmers in britain, so its not that unfeasible. Tad misleading but because not all berries will be farmed, i also stole some farmed 1s and made a blackcurrant flan for my ill gran i guarantee they never took that into account, shocking.
