After enjoying a good thrash around in the car today, i got this really weird nose coming from the front drivers side wheel. The noise is similar to the noise you get when the speedo cable is going. Ive done the following disconnected the speedo cable, and the noise is still there, ive had the car up in the air on axel stands and the noise isnt there. I was thinking maybe drive shaft as i got a knocked type noise from the same area as i booted it around a left hand bend, which i think was the start of the noise.

Anyone got any ideas
cheers

PS: by the way i love driving around with a white bonnet get some much attention

not really, the only other way is to remove the boot and take a look at it, see if theres any free play, hot spots etc

JAck up the wheel and give it a wibble and see if it moves, also turn it one way then the other. then check bearing, bottom ball joint, Tie bar buch, wheel bolts, steering arm joint and wheel bearing, or and CV.
