Think about the amount of air hitting the front of the car.
Thats not my speedo anyway its someone elses -
The temperature of the water passing through the turbo at that speed and load would outweigh the air hitting the front!!!
I 'made' a picture similar when I changed the dials in my Corsa when it had the TD engine! 140mph at 4500rpm, hehe!

the amount of air would no way cool an engine right down to cold, been over 160 in 2 cars and makes no difference the temperature will rise if anything.

My 1.4 16V has shown just over 120 on the clock and its only done 1000 miles. You'd think that they would make an accurate speedo on a new car Could be used as an excuse for when you get caught speeding

Who in the right mind boots there car with 130k on the clock from cold
If i don't use the Saxo for a few days i'll allow it to warm up and then take it easy for a few miles.

Read the cool running thermometer parts of this thread, anyway it doesnt matter how cold the coolant is, its the oil temperature that has to be up to temperature

It doesnt matter whether they are new or old, the sender from the gearbox gets more inaccurate the faster you go. by the way, if my car had only done 1000miles, i would certainly not be ragging the nuts off it like that
