As i am changing my car the standard Vaux Head unit in the astra looks and sounds a bit poor.

So looking to spend around 200 - 270 for a head unit i was looking at these two

Sony CDX-F7750
Clarion DXZ948RMP

Any advice on any other would be great. I also currently have a fairly cheap Alpine amp and sub i want to connect as well.

Id go for an Alpine head unit mate. Should be able to get a one which suits your needs for that sort of money

why not spend 100-150 on a head unit and 100-150 on components..ive just bought a kenwood headunit for £60 rrp of £120..i bought it off some one on cs... its brilliant sound quality and runs the sub and amp like a dream
