Im actually glad the US joined in, do you think D-Day would have been (in the greater scheme of things) a success without them?

Russia would have beaten Germany on their own eventually.

There are so many "what ifs" surrounding WW2 because even in my own explantion of WW2 without America how do we know given time the Germans would not have developed a Atom Bomb?

As much as it turns my stomach to say it we did need America to win WW2, not for the troops but for the industrial might they can bring to a war.

Silly boy I was laughing coz the Graf Spee was an amusing battle... my thoughts were more on the destruction of HMS Hood
