I think it was something to do with the Jap' speed limiter or something. It was topping out too early in 4th or something

if it ran in fourth then it would only hit 4thou revs even the 3rd gear run still had a thou revs till it went into the red never mind the rev limiter
thing that fucked it this time i think is when it was ran in dastek it had the 17s on it and now its got 18s the speedo is off a bit more hence kicking in a bit earlyier than it should,,,i was 7kmph(bout 4mph) short of it doing his gearchange,,he ran an extra 2 runs trying to get it to think it had changed up a gear but sadly didnt work

ahh found it out  ,,the lower the gear the higher the torque at the wheels but the rpm at the rollers is reduced(very little diffrence it makes btw,much bigger impact is having the correct psi in your tyres as that can vary 5bhp),,in theory the bhp should be the same but it never is due to rolling losses,, 4 speed tips run the rr usually in 3rd and the 5 sp tips run in fourth much the same way as a normal manual car is run 1 gear less than max,,normal power for the ftos ran in the owners club is at the 190- 200+bhp at the fly with 140-150+at the wheels for the 4 speed tips main thing that having the speed limiter removed seems to be the extra 1 and a half thou revs in the mivec zone while still in 3rd gear giving bout 10bhp atw,,all fourth would have done it seems is able him change up to finish his test
just searched through the owners club for all this and it seems mines is perfectly healthy for a restricted gpx
also learned that 3rd gear is capable of 120mph lol

was a really good day all round....was shocked that got 26 cars too after it going down so low on friday and that.....

Aj this has been posted in scottish for months and as Ross says I also posted in GC too to get interest....
I suppose i'm quite happy with my 152bhp, Kevin said it was running ok and only a small oil leak..No other problems so not too bad, still wanted 160 though..

a car won't give the same results in 3rd as they will in 4th @ the wheels. 3rd will be higher. fly figure should be close though. but that goes for any car
