I paid for a holiday over the internet on Wednesday (01/06), and the money left my account straight away and I got my email booking confirmation saying I have paid the balance on my Switch card.
But I checked my balance today and there is no listing of the transaction, the money has been put back into my account as well.
I rang both Natwest and they told me to ring the hol company, i just have and they say the holiday is showing that the holiday has been paid in full and has been authorised.
So i now have a paid holiday and a healthy balance in my account which is great - but should I leave the money where it is incase they take it out again or what?
Has this ever happened to anyone else?

leave it for 5 days, then if you still have your holiday, and money in the bank, you are laughing!

i usually just go to the travel agents! but agreed with corsa808 i would leave it for 5 days. Some transactions take 3-5 working days to complete so it mgiht all come out on Monday. Better safe than sorry leave it in.

OK, thanks will leave it - so strange!!! natwest are blaming the travel company but the hol company say its all bin paid!!! strange

Well i ahve a similiar thing happen when i bought computer parts last week. Money came out then went back in, rang the comp company they said order had declined but my money had came out my account. ang egg and they said if it has declined it will take 2-3 working days to clear and be refunded back into your acc. I left it and everything was lovley jubbly.

Bit different but i paid for petrol with my card, about 15 days later they took it out my account, but it was just before payday, so there was no money in and it took me overdrawn. This was about two weeks after id paid for it!

it wud make sense if the travel people told me that my card had been declined or something but they said the payment has been received with auth code and everthing - the balance is 0.00 but the funds are in my account as available.
