i had to modify my mount slightly biy grinding some edges off. of where the long thin bolt goes through for the swing effect. I also strengthened mine on the back
|

no i found i went through 3 belts till i got the correct length that i could tighten enough and it would not pop off. Pretty sure the belt part number ends 65 and that should be the right one for ya. none of the ones in the book for either the cav or corsa fit the powersteering in the conversion

I'd put a power steering rack in (which you obviosly have, I don't), then power it using an electric pump off a Saxo, no need for the pully and belt then...

hmm interesting..wouldnt of gone for a Saxo pump personally as they are pretty unreliable and are prone to failiing

I'm having the conversion done to mine, either the saxo way (mate with astra did it on his, so belt wasn't draining power).
Or been told another vaux rack might do it.
When we do it I'll post up method/results...

Mine is an absoloute wanker.
Ive just had it re done for the 4th time. Im sick of getting it tightened and i keep loosing bolts out of it

is it just a corsa PAS rack you used? i read in another thread that corsa's with PAS have a wider track? i dunno...

We haven't even started to do it yet, we just know there are two approaches we can take.....
Doing my gearbox next week, so doubt it will be then, but it will be done soon

my dad is making a bracket for the engine mount so it only moves a wee bit! hope it helps!
