I have a pre-facelift model (2003) Corsa C, and long story short, i need a new reflector/fog lamp for the back bumper. Initially i thought i just needed the red lens, but it turns out ive fucked the whole thing.
Where can i get one from, and how easy is it to fit? Bare in mind, i have no fitting expirience, neither the time. Is it a simple case of going through the boot, or does the whole bumper have to come off?

£20 odd squids from Vauxhall I think mate, bumper off jobbie, but no longer than an hour for a novice to change it  .
If youve got big wheels you'll most likely have to take the rear wheels off too to get at the screws in the arches . Rest is all self explanetry .

Ah excellent. I have a network Q near me, and i could pop in just before work... hopefully. I would do it myself, but im getting busier as the days go by, and i have uni in sept, so its all rush rush rush. Anyhow i dont have the tools to take it off, so i guess its a garage job.
I just hope i dont get pulled over, the whole thing has been smashed in

Dont need a vast array of tools to do it, only a couple of torx bits and a 10/8 mm socket .
Two plastic bolts either side at the ends of the arches, two screws in inside the arches, the nut type things you can see when the boots open, and then thin theres 3 poppers underneath. Not a hard job to do, but if you havent got time, then the garage will have to do it... expect it to be £60-80 from vaux inc parts  .

Still havent got it fixed, im just really busy atm, but have a spare slot on wednesday that i can use to fix the car. If its no trouble, could someone do a step-by-step guide? I bought a tool kit from halfords, and i already have the light.
The corsa is a standard SXI, and i fiddled around in the rear arches, and found one nut and bolt in each arch (after digging through mounds of hard mud  )
Any help is greatly appriciated. I need this done before Thursday, as my sister is takin her test, and the DSA said they wouldnt accept the car with the faulty light.

Oh by the way, the reason i didnt have any tools to start of with, is because ive just moved house, and (long and pointless story short) all the tools were left at my dads house (even the hammer), and we're not talking at all, so i cant go and collect them
It just sounded like i was a bit of a n00b back there. Sorry

Right heres what you need to do.
Find the end of the arch, and take of the 10mm bolt thats inside the arch behind it. Then feel to the left and take off the other 10mm bolt thats about 4inches to the left of the first one. Reapeat this on both sides of the car.
Take off the 4 studs that hold the bumper to the back of the car, that you can see when the tailgate is open. Pretty sure its a T25 torx bit.
Get on your hands and knees and find the 2 plastic pins underneth the bumper. Use a pair of scissors or pliers to pull the centre pins out. Then get your fingers behind the bumper and pull it down, so the holders will start to come out. Pull the two holders out, and put the pins in them so you dont loose them!
Everythings ready for you to take the bumper off now. Pull the arch out slightly (you'll need to bend it a little), so that the nut held by the arch comes out of the rear quater, and through the hook in the bumper. Un-hook the bumper and let it rest on the ground.
Do the same with the other side, Et-voila the bumper is removed  .
The fogs are held in by two torx screws i think, so just undo them, swap the fog over, and then put it all back together.
If you feel like the arch is going to snap, or you need to give ittoo much force, check theres not extra nuts further down. If there is undo them too, so the pivot point's further away. If theres no more nuts, then there on plastic clips. Just pull the arch near to where they are and they'll opo out. Chances are it'll break the clips, but there only pence from vauxhall, and once the two top bolts are in the arch will be held securely enough anyway  .
