there is an annoying tapping that comes only at 800-900RPM from behine the dash
it gets less noisy when the door is half / fully open
what could it be?

I had a rattle that seemed to be coming from behind the dash/offside wheel arch when pulling away and manuvering at low rpm. And that turned out to be the engine mounts that were lose so it could be that. Or is this noise constant when just ideling etc?
Drives supercharged Tec with torque

what could it be...?
a lot of things.
ranging from coins in ashtray to wires behind headunit etc.
its a matter of searching for it, tedious but its got to be done if it drives you crazy.

Is your alarm siren, if you have one.......sat in the bulkhead? It was on my old corsa.......started to come loose and was banging about in there, sounded like behind my dash but wasn't!

mine alo same problem, defo from behind the dash, only happens when hitting bumps though.
really annoying, ive checked suspension and bushes, ive checked the engine so its DEFO from the dash, ive felt up both sides of the dash without finding anything loose, ive taken the middle heater panel off also with no luck in finding the annoying noise.
