latest 2005 model Alpine CDA9855 in my brothers car, first time it was used for a long time and it just wont eject the cd now!????
tried resetting it but still nothing, the actual head panel wont tilt open to let the cd out or anything???
any ideas, i had this problem somtiems with my old Alpine, but all i had to do was reset it!!

unplug the unit for 5 mins then plug back in if it dont eject it needs to go to specialist

oh no
i diconnected the battery for about a hour, and then even took headunit completely out and had a fiddle with it and then still no luck!!
what could actually be wrong with it though???
could it be faulty???
im surprised this has happend with a Alpine unit

it can happen with any unit to be honest, mechanical defects are common, especially with brand new ranges. They usually nibble them out after a while.
Its more than likely faulty if its been left unplugged for a while bud. Needs to go back im afraid

Still that must be something Alpine has gotta fix, firmware bug it seems

it sorted itself out, but now has started doing it again!!!!
but now, occasionally, it does not open at all even when their is not a CD inside it!!??? as if it is jammed??
what could be wrong, and what should i do??

The mechinisam might have cloapsed this happened to my vauxhall one.
