A super compact credit card sized Network Walkman with a 20GB hard drive. The built-in lithium-ion battery provides playback time of up to 30 hours, while Sony's unique G-sensor technology protects the internal hard drive even if it falls from a height of 1m. The large 7-line LCD display with green backlight makes it easy to read track and artist information, while SonicStage 2.1 software makes music management and transfers a doddle. It can also store audio, visual and data files (Word, Powerpoint etc).

if it's anything like the one i've got (NW-E99) it won't play a normal MP3 file, has to be converted to sony's own format using their software, which sucks because it's crap and very slow!

they seem to be really good on paper and they are apparently - thats if you can live with the shite software that you NEED to use (can't just dump files to it via "my computer" etc) and the fact that when you do put tracks on it, it adds copyright info, so you cant transfer them onto another machine. Also the menu system is suppose to be a bit of a git (not as bad as people make out), oh and EQ only works on sony's lossless format - so doesn't work on mp3s, even though you can put mp3s on it

Although battery life is the one thing it has going for it - most units seem to get around 25-29hrs worth which is pretty good, especially compared to an ipods which is max 8hrs.

If your not after an ipod, then the creative zen is suppose to be nae bad
