I went to see it last night and to be honest i was disapointed The opening scene was spectacular to say the least, partly down to the big screen no doubt! There were some very good moments that make Star Wars such an event, but ultimalty the film seemed very rushed. Anakins change to the dark side almost seemed like an after thought ( i know it wasnt by the way!) and should have been dealt with in more depth. The massacre of all the Jedi also seemed rushed, what was George thinking? "Damn forgot to kill them all, ah well" As for the giant lizard riding
The film should have been a lot darker like The Empire Strikes Back, it should also have being atleast 3 hours in lenth.
I totally agree with the 12A rating though

Remember its a 12a and a lot of kids would be on Lucas's target list - not many kids would sit for 3 hours.
Also, Lucas has a problem doing Dark (he seems to enjoy happy films more - ie the kids characters and stuff). Remember Empire Strikes back was only Dark because Lucas didn't Direct that one!

On a slightly off topic, I think to give an idea of how Directors can make 'Dark' films, take a look at Batman Begins next month - it'll be totally different from the other Batman films because Christoppher Nolan (Memento) is Directing it in a 'noir' style.
I think Lucas did a good job of making the film dark and still keeping it at 12a though, could have been better yeah, but through the end of the Obi Wan and Anakin fight was very well done.

Have you not been to the cinema recently and paid any attention to the adverts?

I have been to the cinema recently - to see Star Wars would you believe! I saw the film orange stuff, but don't get what Marc was getting at by simply writing 'film orange'.
Orange has a capital 'O' btw, as its the name of a company
