Posted: Tue May 17, 2005 6:42 am Post subject: Vauxhall Nova (ideal track car).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vauxhall nova 1.3 SR with a 1.6 GTE engine. Car has done 48Kmiles, engine done about 60K. The car has a full roll cage, with stripped out rear. It has an Astra 2.0 L brake kit, 15' alloys, full stainless steel exhaust, green cotton induction kit, lowered on PI springs, momo steering wheel. The car is declared SORN, but would not take much to put it back on the road. The engine is good, but would need set up to be perfect. The drivers door has a dent in it, but does not affect the closing off the door. The car is also fitted with an alarm/immobiliser.

considering investing in it for futre days on track

£600 o.n.o

Dunno, never like cars that dont have a full/nearly full MOT. always think its cause it wouldnt pass one, but could just be me. Make sure you check over it with a fine toothed comb though. May be rot free on the outside, but underneath couls be dropping appart: like my mates car .

Only reason i say MOT is because of the Rot underneath. also if you using it on a track, then id personally want it to be atleast roadworthy, as a track is much more demanding of the car.

Could always ask if you could book the car in for an MOT to get it given a good check over. Proberbly fail, but you shouldhave a good indication of what needs spendingon it to get it up to scratch .

BTW my mates nova failed its MOT on the rear suspension mouning points, as they were non existant... you couldnt see anything wrong with it while it was parked up and you put you head underneath, only when it was on the ramps .
