Hey, How do you take off the cover of a standard wing mirror in order to spray it?

yer its got all of the glass and mechanism inside it, im sure it would be easier if I take off the cover

I twatted mine on a lamp post and it fell off

but when i fitted it back on from what i saw there are two kind of clip things that hold it on so i think pulling is the way forwards. Once these are off the casing will come away a little and you will be able to see the inside mechanisms for adjusting the mirror this is basicly a a peice of metal in a horizontal "H" shape that clips in. These can be prised out (Its obvious when you see it). You should now be able to remove the mirror unit. The other plastic trim that is left on the car can then be removed by pulling out the "popper" style fittings that hold it on. this is simply done with a bit more gentle preswasion

If all else fails drive into a post only thing is it costs you the mirror glass
