Power figures dont have the greatest effect on how loud your system will be, its more on the amount of subs you have. The more subs you have, the more air you will shift, the louder it will be.

true richie, but a sub with large excursion capabilities will be capable of much greater volume than one with less.
Normally higher power handling has to do with magnet size and design and often greater excursion.
So yeah one sub with large excursion could be loudr than 2 others of the same size if their excursion is significantly less.
