is there a way i can schedule my server (which has a 1.5 meg dsl line) to disconnect and re-connect to the internet every 48 hours for example.
My isp disconnects me every 3 days..to change my IP etc.
I use dynamic DNS so i can connect to my server from work, but obviously if my isp have disconnected it....i cant.
I've done some searches and looked at the scheduled tasks in windows but cant find anything to disconnect and re-dial.

One of the DynDNS clients ("DynDNS Updater" I think) has an autodialler built-in which obviously can redial.
If you're using Windows dial-up networking for the connection, you can just set that to redial if the line is dropped...

i'm using the no-ip client...it has an auto dial feature, never seems to have worked for me tho...will give the one u suggested a try
