Is it worth the money, or should i just put my 6x9's in the parcel shelf ??

Acoustically they are an improvement, but their main purpose is hiding them from theiving scum.
And ur from hemel hempstead so i advise that you get one  i did an overnight job on your marks and spencers in town, saw how many pikeys there were

I just got one and would say yes go for it. If you put them in the parcel shelf they are there for every pikey on the planet to see. Also it means that you don't butcher your standard shelf which is handy if you want to take them out/sell the car.

i realised that! but its the same principal, you just screw them to bottm of shelf rather than the top! and its really not worth paying £70 or so for one!

doing a stealth shelf urself can be a twat to get right, especially with the carpet sinking and all that

Yes they are very much worth it, and again like Richie said, it's hard to keep the carpet from sinking on to the speakers if you make your own. A mate did that....not me 
I also think it makes the boot of the car look 100% more tidier and less Chav looking if you don't have them showing.
