Just over a week ago my car totally ran out of petrol and died on me.
I waited a few minutes, and luckily it started again and i drove up the hill for about a mile to the petrol station. But oh dear it was closed!
So i drove for about another mile down a hill to another station, but my car totally died on me at the junction.
But it didn't really matter cos the garage that i was going to that i could now see has turned into a hand car wash place.
So i phoned my boyfriend, and luckily there was some petrol in a little green can in the shed. I carefully put it all into my car, and after 3 trys it started again. I just had enough petrol to take my friend home, to get home myself, then to call at the nearest station the next morning to fill up.
But i think ive done some damage somewhere, cos ive noticed this week that when im in 2nd or 3rd gear my car doesn't seem to have as much power anymore.
Does anyone know what my problem might be?
Cheers Ness

as already said you have sucked the dregs up from ya tank, change ya fuel filter first, if not try a new fuel pump or clean the fuel pump, nothing serious

at worst you'll have to replace/clean injectors (if any)
i dont understand why people let their petrol get so low, especially if it runs out it fucks things up. it happened on my moped and it was fuked big time afterwards......would'nt run properly

A new fuel pump wont be cheap! Try changing the fuel filter and put some injector cleaner in... if it doesnt sort it then look into other ideas
