Dunno whether it's true or not, but it's harsh as fuck.
He's just in theory kidnapped someone, and made them think that they're in a computer game, just shooting a load of "Zombies" that are trying to kill him.
He's gone mental.

I thought that was fucked up - If that was real the guy will have fucking mental problems...
Ok so it's not real, but the brain doesn't know what's real or not and will recall it later (in the mind, whether it be through a dream or whatever) as a normal event that has happened to him.
Plus! How much was the guy screaming when darren walked in. He was basically in tears!!! he even shot derren brown with the gun... You put your body / mind through that sort of panic and it'll come back later in mental probs / even slight ones like unable to sleep or fears of certain things in the future.

Yeah, i couldn't agree more with that.
Was so fucked up, it's all right him putting himself through things, like the Roulette one, that was cool !!
But putting some random guy through it, who hasn't given permission, and didnt know anything till afterwards, that's well harsh, he was having a bloody breakdown in the corner (as you said)

I'd love to meet him, i think it's amazing the things he does (if they're real)
The fact he can read a word that someone is thinking of... he managed to "guess" 'Broadstairs' earlier in the show, from what someone was thinking. Tis amazing

To be fair - I think most of the shit he does is rigged / uses actors / tells people to co-operate before the trick is performed on tv.
I watched one a few weeks ago with 3 boxs and a ring... My mum had taped it as I was out that night, but when I watched it I thought I saw him put the ring into his pocket instead of in the box ... So slowed it down and ta da - Ring goes in the pocket, not in the box - and you can see just before the boxes are closed there is nothing in any of them!
Yet he then claims to have predicted what moves the people will do and thus already knew what box they would pick (hence he ends up with the box with the ring)
But in reality none have the ring!!! He just puts it in at the end! but acts like he's amazing - Twat!
That russian roulette thing was blatently rigged... (the guys who he picked looked like actors) - I just can't trust any shit he does anymore.
I know all magicians trick people - but it's the fact he doesn't admit they're tricks - but rather claims he's reading people or their actions where things are actually rigged or set up... Wanker

He is a magician who is tricking you into believing that he can read minds. That is the trick.

I've been to a few hypnotherapy appointments, to cure a sub-concious problem I was having with my darts career.
Went through a stage where I must have put myself under pressure and couldn't throw as good as I knew I could.
Hypnotherapy is real, Derren Brown's shows are not.

He mentions at the start of EVERY program that he acheives the results through deception, mis-direction and influence - hes not conning anyone cos he makes it clear at the start. He shows how he can control people - thats the 'trick'.
I saw his show a few weeks ago live - totally randon members of the audience, did the 'counting the buttons' trick twice. hammered a nail into his nose, walked on broken glass without a pulse varified by a GP - was excellent.
Did some hypnotising and mind reading too, and showed us a all a subliminally influencing video before a big trick.
The twist at the end was like 'saonce' where he reveals something so cool - he's a very talented bloke. I've no idea how he does half the things he does - but its not phychic - he makes that clear - its just clever illusion.

If it was real, and derren did hypnotise that lad, that lad should sue him, as that would have well messed me up!

Some 'Totally Random members of the audience' - I've been to a few live things and you know where they go now we're gonna pick someone random from the audience - It's ALWAYS set up. Most of the time they sit the people on the end of rows to allow them to easily stand up and walk down to the end when they need to go down on stage. I'm not saying they're necisarily actors - but they've been told before hand, possibly with any other crap too.
I wouldn't believe anything he does - Magician's are there to trick you. I just hate the way derren brown claims he's got super powers where he can control people / read their minds etc.
The button one for example - if he wanted he could have that jar on electric scales... Each button weighs the same... Weigh the weight with the jar, weigh the weight with all buttons ... When the person removes buttons someone quickly calculates how many have been removed - relays info to derren and then derren amazes all!
Magic does not exist guys - as I say I saw that ring trick he did where he supposedly predicted / controlled the people into picking the wrong boxes. but I saw there was no ring in any box as he never put it in!
