to get hold of and insure?
im on my old dears insurance for my GSI
but i need no claims bonus so im looking into getting a low cc diesel or something similar that i can buy for about £100 and insure for about the same.
im 18 with a years experience and no no-claims, no accidents, clean liscence etc...
any ideas would be helpful

r u going to drive it?? get a 999cc car, cinq or something, go tpft and have a mileage limit of like 2k, huge excess and it should be cheap, just stik somewhere its not gonna get in the way.

probly wont drive it. just need the no claims so in a few years time i can turbo my gsi. my mates got an old 850 mini in his garage (restoration project) hes insured it fully comp and he drives his DADS fiesta RS turbo.
i'd probly shove it up my uncles yard out the way

fiat 126?? few lads got these as first cars in the 6th form, were dirt cheap to buy and insure.

Focus's are well cheap to insure i think a 1.8 is group 6 or some thing.

i whent on aa and got some online quotes
1. 1985, 205, 1.0l, cat 1 alarm third party only- £1400
2. 1990, nova sr, 1.3, cat 1 alarm third party only- £1300???
surely an sr nova would be more expensive than a older, slower 205

where the hell do u live mate those quotes are crap.
I would try a different website as they seem far to high.

Less idiots must drive Clios than 205s and Novas.
Insurance is stupid and inconsistent anyway.
My Mum's Megane has the same size but slightly more powerful engine than my 306, it's worth about £5k more and is 4 years newer, but if I were to insure it it'd be cheaper than the 306 for me.
